Why we ask: Akitas are a 15-year commitment. We want to ensure they have space, time, and an active family to thrive.

Step 2: The 10-Minute Video Call

Once we review your application, we will contact you to schedule a quick, 10-minute video call.
Why we do this: We want to meet you face-to-face and see where your puppy will be living. This allows us to answer your questions, verify your home environment, and ensure our lines match your energy. We don’t ghost you we connect with you.

Step 3: Secure Your Puppy 

Once approved, an adoption fee officially reserves your chosen Akita puppy from our current litter.

Please note: An adoption fee secures the specific puppy’s name and lineage. It is transferable to a future litter if your circumstances change before the 9-week mark.

Step 4: The Dedicated Handoff Appointment 

When your puppy is 10 weeks old, fully vetted, and ready to go home, we schedule a dedicated 45-minute pickup appointment at our facility in Rapid City.
During this time, you will:

• Meet us in person.

• Meet the parents (or see their updated photos).

• Receive your puppy’s complete vaccination records, health guarantee, and microchip info.

• Receive a 2-week starter kit (food, toys, and potty training pads) to make the transition seamless!

A: The adoption fee includes initial vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, a full vet health check, AKC registration paperwork, and a comprehensive starter kit.

Q: Do you offer shipping?
A: Yes, we offer hand-delivery via licensed ground transport to approved homes only, to ensure the safety and comfort of your puppy. Additional costs apply and are calculated based on distance.

Q: What if I can’t pick up the puppy immediately?
A: We offer boarding at our facility for up to 7 days after the 8-week mark for a small daily boarding fee, ensuring your puppy is well-cared for while you make travel arrangements.

Q: Do you have a refund policy?
A: Deposits are fully transferable to a future litter should your circumstances change before the 8-week mark. Full details are in our Adoption Agreement.
